Frequently Asked Questions
What is naturopathic medicine?
A practice of medicine that emphasizes prevention and a self-healing process. Each person is treated holistically. My goal is to partner with you to optimize your health while lowering your overall healthcare costs.
What kind of training did you receive?
I attended a four-year, in-residence, hands-on medical training program that included more than 4,100 hours of classroom and clinical training. I was educated in biomedical sciences as well as in nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathy and acupuncture, allowing me to integrate conventional medicine diagnostics with a broad range of natural therapies.
Can you order labs or write prescriptions?
Yes, these are both done under the direction of our medical director, Forrest Smith, MD. We charge a direct cash price for all labs, including discounted prices for LabCorp testing.
Can you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance but will provide a superbill for all services you receive. I do, however, accept payment from FSA and HSA plans.
Will you work with my other healthcare providers?
Yes, absolutely. While I don’t function as a primary care physician I can provide your other healthcare providers with labs and progress notes as needed.
